Parma have formally announced the signing of Espanyol midfielder Fernando Marques.
The 25-year-old will be officially unveiled this afternoon at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Marques started his career at Rayo Vallecano before joining Racing Santander. He spent two years with Atletico Madrid and even had a stint in Greece until he returned to Spain with Espanyol last season.
Marques can play on the flanks or even as a second striker, although he has never been prolific in the slightest.
However, his reputation as a utility man will help Parma cope with the losses of Jonathan Biabiany and Davide Lanzafame.
