Genoa will face Empoli in the 2010 Campionato Primavera final after both successfully advanced past the semi-final stage.
Empoli qualified for the final with a 4-0 thumping of Brescia in Civitanova Marche on Friday, while Genoa beat city rivals Sampdoria 4-1 in Macerata earlier this evening.
The Grifoncini will now be aiming to lift their first ever "Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti" at Macerata's Stadio Comunale Helvia Recina on Tuesday evening, while their Tuscan opponents will want to add to their sole league title from 1999.
Despite Stefan Scepovic replying to Stephan El Shaarawi's early opener, Luca Chiappino's Genoa booked a place in the final thanks to second half goals from Antonino Ragusa and a Matteo Chinellato brace.
The Ligurian outfit had thrashed Bari in the first knock-out round and came from 2-0 down to beat Chievo in the quarter finals to reach Tuesday's final, where they will start as favourites.
Empoli, meanwhile, crushed Brescia 4-0 in the last four thanks to goals from Riccardo Saponara, Antonio Tognarelli, Leonardo Crafa and Nicolao Dumitru.
Ettore Donati's side had a tough run in the final phase as they had to get past strong tournament favourites Inter in the last 16, then holders Palermo and they will now hope to complete a successful season with the Primavera league title.
