The Biancocelesti edged past Sampdoria after a dramatic encounter at the Stadio Olimpico, prevailing 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw to capture the club's fifth Coppa title and first since 2004."This triumph is mainly dedicated to the fans, but also to everyone who has made many sacrifices to get us to this point," an emotional Rossi told Rai Uno.
"We won this trophy the hard way, on penalties. Having said this though, when you have a great passion for what you do, then you get even greater satisfaction from achieving things like this."
Lazio have had an average season, sitting in mid-table in Serie A, and Rossi's future beyond this season was in doubt.
"We will see at the end of the season," he concluded.
