Mauro Zarate and Fernando Muslera made key contributions in Lazio's Coppa Italia triumph and the pair have dedicated the success to the fans.
Argentine Zarate opened the scoring for the Biancocelesti in the 1-1 draw with Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico with a stunning finish inside four minutes, while Uruguayan goalkeeper Muslera saved two penalties in a dramatic shoot-out.
"The important thing for us tonight is the victory," Zarate reacted on Rai Uno. "I am happy for myself and for my team mates, but especially those wonderful supporters of ours.
"We hope that this will be the first of many good times to come."
Muslera, who denied both Antonio Cassano and Hugo Campagnaro in the 6-5 shoot-out victory, added: "Tonight I was blessed to have saved two penalties.
"Having said this though, it is not my victory, but it is the whole teams. All I did was try to remain calm when there were difficult times.
"Most importantly, tonight is a victory for our fans."
Club captain Tommaso Rocchi added: "We also won because our President looked to win a trophy. We dedicate it to him.
"We also would like to apologise to our fans for the difficulties that we have had in the championship."
Cristian Brocchi and Lorenzo De Silvestri dedicated the special victory to Gabriele Sandri, a well-known fan who was tragically killed last year.
"We certainly gave our all to win this trophy, and we have many people to thank and dedicate this victory to," Brocchi said. "For me, there are two people that I would like to dedicate this to, with the first being Gabriele Sandri, as this is also his victory.
"The second is devoted to the president, Lotito, who really did all he could to guide us to this trophy."
De Silvestri added: "We had the unique opportunity of attempting to win the Coppa Italia in front of our own fans, and it proved to be a wonderful night that we will never forget.
"I can only dedicate this victory to Gabriele, as I'm sure that he was giving us a hand during the penalty kicks."
