[Pre-season] New season preperations begin

With the countdown to the 2008-09 Serie A season just over seven weeks, the summer holidays are over today for the players of one club - and by the end of next week six more clubs will be back in training.

First to bring their players back later today will be Napoli, followed by Juventus tomorrow. Next week they will have been joined by Fiorentina, Siena, Lazio, Udinese and newly-promoted Chievo.

The week begining Monday July 14 sees twelve clubs check in while, the last to report back for duty from the beach are Roma's players on Monday July 21.

All 20 clubs will be preparing for the new Serie A season, which begins on Saturday August 30, with training camps at home and abroad, friendly matches and tournaments.
