Serie A Week 31: Rescheduled Match

Juventus consolidated their position in third in Serie A with a 3-0 home win against struggling Parma in Turin's Stadio Olimpico.

JUVENTUS 3-0 PARMA
David Trezeguet put the Bianconeri ahead in the 16th minute before Raffaele Palladino doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark. Parma's hopes of getting back in the game were crushed when midfielder Stefano Morrone headed into his own net with 13 minutes remaining. The Gialloblu's miserable night was completed a minute later when veteran defender Fernando Couto sent off for a second yellow card. The Week 31 encounter at the Stadio Olympico should have been played last month but was rescheduled following the accidental death of a Parma fan who was on his way to the stadium to watch the match. The outcome sees Juve climb seven points clear of fourth-place Fiorentina with five games remaining, while their opponents remain a point above the relegation zone.
