Inter President Massimo Moratti has played down talk linking the club with a move for Manchester City ace Elano.
The Serie A champions are reported to be monitoring the Brazilian following his success in the English Premier League this season.
Elano has been one of the stars of City's fine campaign and his performances are thought to have alerted a number of top clubs across Europe.
Moratti was remaining coy on the speculation regarding a move, hinting that the former Shakhtar Donetsk star could be too expensive.
"I don't know him well and, from an economical point of view, it doesn't seem like a simple deal," Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I'll wait to understand more. We don't need to rush and it is not only him."
