Brescia have secured the signature of former striker Andrea Caracciolo from Sampdoria in a late deal on transfer deadline day.
Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers had looked to grab the 26-year-old international - but Caracciolo has instead opted to join the Serie B promotion chasers for the third time in his career.
The Rondinelle announced the signing on their website shortly before the transfer window closed.
It is believed Brescia have paid Sampdoria £5m plus co-ownership rights of Mattia Mustacchio.
Rangers were the front-runners to secure the player, but discussions in Milan proved to be difficult as Caracciolo was co-owned by Samp and Palermo.
