A decision on the hosts of the 2012 UEFA European Championship finals has been postponed until April next year.
UEFA's Executive Committee decided to postpone the choice - originally scheduled for this coming December - at its meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia today. Three candidates, including the forerunners Italy, are bidding to stage the tournament in six years' time. The other contenders are joint bids from Poland and Ukraine, and Hungary and Croatia.
"In the light of experiences in Portugal in 2004, as well as for UEFA Euro 2008, we want to give more time to the candidates that are applying to beef up their dossiers and answer some questions we have that are related to the organisation of the competition," UEFA's communications and public affairs director William Gaillard told uefa.com. "The decision will be taken at the Executive Committee in April 2007."

why should the committee give u 2012 since there was so much corruption and the courts just brushing it under the carpet and u have held the efc in 1968 1980 and the world cup in 1934 1990 where as hungary croatia and poland ukraine have never held any football cups and also the hungarines have bidded twice before once in 2004 and again in 2008???????
