[Mercato] Martinez set for Juve move

Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco has confirmed Jorge Martinez has all but completed his move to Juventus.

Martinez has spent the past three years at Catania and was surprisingly left out of the Uruguay squad despite the winger enjoying a stunning campaign last term.

The 27-year-old is expected to pen his new contract on Monday, with Catania receiving a reported 12million euros.

Lo Monaco said: "Jorge Martinez is a Juventus player and so we have to say goodbye to him.

"I want to congratulate him because he will be wearing the shirt of a very important club."

Martinez's move to Turin has seen Juve end their interest in CSKA Moscow's Milos Krasic.

Meanwhile, with the continuing injury problems for first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus are on the verge of completing the signing of AC Milan's Marco Storari for 4.5million euros.

The 33-year-old spent last season on loan at Sampdoria, who are now reportedly set to pick up Gianluca Curci from Siena.
