Inter extended their lead over second-placed Roma at the top of Serie A to nine points by drawing 1-1 at Parma in their rearranged Week 22 clash.
Parma 1-1 Inter
Inter stretched their lead at the top of the Serie A to nine points despite being held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Parma. Parma had slipped to 13th in the standings following a run of six games without a win but they showed great determination from the start to frustrate their opponents. Valeri Bojinov fired the hosts into a surprise lead after 54 minutes. Inter responded almost immediately as substitute Mario Balotelli drew them level just four minutes later. Parma were reduced to ten men when Francesco Valiani was sent off with 16 minutes remaining for a second booking but they held on for a crucial point.
