Swiss outfit FC Zurich have recorded a shock 1-0 UEFA Champions League win over AC Milan at the San Siro while Juventus failed to find the net in a draw at Bayern Munich.
Milan 0-1 Zurich
FC Zurich pulled off one of the shocks of the group stage as Hannu Tihinen's tenth-minute goal earned the Swiss titleholders a memorable win at AC Milan. Tihinen's touch of impudence – a back-heel from Milan Gajic's corner – stunned the Rossoneri, who created enough chances to equalise, but found ill fortune and an inspired Johnny Leoni in their way at every occasion. Tihinen's goal proved enough to earn Zurich their first victory in Group C, lifting them to second place above Milan, piling more pressure on coach Leonardo.
Bayern Munich 0-0 Juventus
Juventus and Bayern Munich failed to make the most of their opportunities, the two heavyweights playing out a goalless draw to maintain their unbeaten records in Group A. The two sides boast six European Cups between them but punched below their weight in front of goal as they were unable to convert a number of chances in Munich. Bayern enjoyed the lion's share of possession and will be the more disappointed with the stalemate, although they nevertheless have two more points than Ciro Ferrara's Juve, who extended their unbeaten run to 14 matches in all competitions.
