[Mercato] Viola sell Kuzmanovic

German club Stuttgart have signed Zdravko Kuzmanovic from Fiorentina in a reported seven million euros deal.

Zdravko KuzmanovicBut as one player departs the Stadio Artemio Franchi another arrives as a busy day of negotiations with English outfit West Ham United finally saw striker Savio Nsereko arrive in Florence.

The Viola had initially approached the London-based club regarding a move for defender Matthew Upson, but that enquiry was rejected.

However, in the process of the negotiations they managed to snare highly-rated German youngster Nsereko.

The Ugandan-born attacker was a star in Serie B with Brescia before being lured to Gianfranco Zola's Premier League side. However, he only ever managed one appearance for the club.

As part of the deal Fiorentina have sent Portuguese defender Manuel Da Costa in the opposite direction. The 23-year-old never settled following his move from PSV Eindhoven.

Kuzmanovic, a 21-year-old Serb, had made a decent name for himself in Serie A, but his performances dropped last term and has made limited appearances under Cesare Prandelli.
