Parma have confirmed the signing of Italy World Cup winner Cristian Zaccardo from Wolfsburg.
The 27-year-old defender, who spent just one season with the German Bundesliga champions, joins up again with former Palermo boss Francesco Guidolin at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Zaccardo is Parma's second signing of the weekend after experienced striker Nicola Amoruso arrived from Torino.
The newly-promoted club spent just one season outside the top flight and have steadily strengthened their squad in recent weeks with former Roma defender Christian Panucci a major acquisition.
The Gialloblu, who opened their Serie A campaign with a creditable 2-2 draw away to Udinese last week, play their first home game of the season against Catania on Sunday evening
