Livorno have re-signed hometown hero Cristiano Lucarelli on-loan from Parma.
"With the full satisfaction of all concerned, the misunderstandings that affected the deal for the player were overcome and clarified," read a statement on the club's official website.
The 33-year-old had already agreed the transfer last week, but President Aldo Spinelli suddenly and very publicly pulled the plug.
Spinelli was furious at agent Carlo Pallavicino's signing on fee and declared the matter over.
However, Lucarelli begged for another chance and Pallavicino offered to forego his fee. "Cristiano is like a brother to me, I'll do anything to make his dream return to Livorno come true," he said.
The rapport with Spinelli has always been extremely fractious, as Lucarelli already walked away from his beloved Amaranto following a row with the President in 2007.
From 2003 to 2007, the hitman scored 92 goals for the club and helped them to an historic promotion.
