Lazio have signed former Argentina striker Julio Cruz on a free transfer from Italian champions Inter.
Cruz has signed a one-year contract with an option for a further season with his new club and could make his Lazio debut on Saturday week against his former club as the Coppa Italia holders face the Nerazzurri for the Italian Supercoppa final in Beijing.
The 34-year-old arrived in Italy in 2000 and after three seasons with Bologna he joined Inter in 2003.
Despite often being a second choice in attack, Cruz scored 49 goals in six Serie A seasons in Milan, helping Inter to win the last four Scudetti.
Lazio, who open their new Serie A campaign against Atalanta on 23 August, discover their UEFA Europa League Play-off round opponents next Friday and will play them on 20 and 27 August.
