
"I tried to get a two-year deal, but then we thought about it and superstitiously preferred to limit it to one year with the chance to extend as time goes on," Conte told a press conference.

"I chose and accepted Bari when the Juve bench has not been assigned to anyone yet, so with this choice and this signature I have what I was looking for.
"The moment I sat down it didn't take long to work out an agreement and take this decision."
Conte was the hot favourite to take over his former club Juventus following the Turin club's decision to sack Claudio Ranieri last month.
However, he has been in talks with Bari President Vincenzo Matarrese since securing promotion and has opted to remain at the Stadio San Nicola for what will be his debut Serie A campaign.
