Werder Bremen midfielder Diego is set to complete his switch to Juventus in the next 24 hours.
The Brazilian playmaker, who is under contract with the German outfit until June 2011, has long been tipped for a move to the Serie A giants as a replacement for Pavel Nedved, who retires at the end of the season.
A fee of around 25 million euros has already been agreed between the two clubs and the 24-year-old had a medical in Turin today.
"The transfer of Werder Bremen midfielder Diego to Italian top-flight side Juventus is soon to be complete," read a statement on the Bundesliga club's official website.
"The Brazilian was in northern Italy on Monday for a medical check-up."
Reports in Italy suggest Diego is set to pen a five-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico and will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Tuesday.
