CL - Last 8: Midweek Review

For the third consecutive year, three English teams will be present in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all going though. Spanish giants Barcelona complete the last four line-up and will try to stop an all-English final in Rome.

UEFA Champions League Roma 2009On Tuesday Chelsea survived a dramatic encounter against Liverpool with a 4-4 draw for a 7-5 aggregate victory while Bayern Munich ensured they exited the competition with at least some dignity as the Germans held Barcelona 1-1 in the second-leg, but losing 5-1 on aggregate.

Reining European champions Manchester United booked their spot with a 1-0 win at FC Porto on Wednesday, going through 3-2 on aggregate, while Arsenal swept past Villarreal 3-0 and 4-1 on aggregate.
