UC - MD2: Milan & Udinese maintain 100% starts

AC Milan 1-0 BragaAC Milan and Udinese maintained their 100 per cent records on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Cup.

Milan left it late to beat Portuguese outfit Braga 1-0 at the San Siro in Group E thanks to a stunning Ronaldinho strike in injury-time, while a Fabio Quagliarella brace helped Udinese secure a 2-1 win at Spartak Moscow in Group D.

Sampdoria had a rest day but their rivals in Group C were all in action.

AC MILAN 1-0 BRAGA
A stunning strike by substitute Ronaldinho saw AC Milan snatch a last-gasp victory against Braga to take a three-point lead at the top of UEFA Cup Group E. Ronaldinho, who had replaced Alexandre Pato on the hour mark, unleashed an unstoppable added-time winner to deny Braga the point their gutsy performance looked to have earned. With the final whistle in sight, a cross from the left was flicked towards the Brazilian by Gennaro Gattuso and Ronaldinho unleashed a stunning shot into the top-left corner from outside the area to give Carlo Ancelotti's side their second win.

Spartak Moscow 1-2 UdineseSPARTAK MOSCOW 1-2 UDINESE
Fabio Quagliarella struck twice as Udinese took a giant step towards the UEFA Cup knockout stage with a 2-1 victory against Spartak Moscow in the Russian capital. The Italian international put Udinese ahead after 12 minutes before Clemente Rodriguez levelled five minutes later. The Spartak defender was later penalised for a foul on Simone Pepe in the box, and the 25-year-old Quagliarella stepped up to beat Stipe Pletikosa from the spot to give Pasquale Marino's men their second Group D win.
