Knee injury troubles Totti again

Roma captain Francesco Totti is out of Saturday's Serie A clash against Juventus after injuring his troublesome right knee in training today.

Francesco TottiThe 32-year-old pulled up after suffering pain in the right knee on which he underwent surgery in April.

Totti, who has only played five times in all competitions this season, is also a major doubt for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Chelsea.

"We're trying everything to help him recover," said Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalletti. "We made him rest for a while and he was able to play a few games in a row.

"Today, however, he felt pain again and he cannot play when it's as bad as this."

There was some cheer for Spalletti, whose team are down in 16th in Serie A, when Julio Baptista was passed fit to face Juve after recovering from a thigh injury. The Brazilian forward last appeared on 5 October.
