Chievo have pulled off a huge coup by landing Brazilian sensation Kerlon.
Known as 'The Seal' for his ability to balance the ball on his head, the 20-year-old has made the shock move to the newly promoted Serie A outfit.
Kerlon has been linked to some of the biggest clubs in world football since he first came to attention with the Brazilian Under-17s in 2005.
His progress was hampered by a serious knee injury last year, but he has bounced back to full fitness with Cruzeiro.
He was still expected to join a high-profile side, but he has now opted to switch to Chievo.
Joining Kerlon in Verona is fellow South American Mario Yepes.
The Colombian defender has left Paris Saint Germain and has joined the club, according to Chievo's official website.
The Veronese minnows started their 2008-09 Serie A campaign positively with a 2-1 win over Reggina on Sunday.
