Casiraghi sends for reserves

Pierluigi Casiraghi has called up two replacements for injured duo Robert Acquafresca and Francesco Pisano for his Under-21 squad.

Italy's youngsters are preparing to face Greece in Castel Di Sangro before travelling to Croatia in the race to qualify for the 2009 European Under-21 Championships.

The Azzurrini are in charge of their qualification Group 1 but face two tough tests as they look to secure a play-off spot.


Cagliari duo Acquafresca and Pisano have both sustained injuries, forcing Casiraghi to draft alternatives.

Catania's Juventus-owned marksman Michele Paolucci steps in for Acquafresca and Atalanta defender Daniele Capelli replaces injury-prone stopper Pisano.

Paolucci played 32 games for Ascoli in 2005-06 but struggled to find first-team opportunities at Udinese and Atalanta over the last two years.
