As expected, newly promoted Lecce have completed a deal for Pisa striking ace Jose Ignacio Castillo.
The 33-year-old was one of the surprise packages of last term when he scored 21 goals for minnows Pisa to finish amongst the top scorers in Serie B.
With time running out in his career, Castillo urged his agent to secure a move to Serie A and a number of sides flirted with him.
But Lecce were the first side to make a concrete approach for the Argentine and after several days of talks a fee has been agreed.
No details have been released regarding the fee, but Press reports suggest that Pisa will receive around £1.6m.
Lecce have already strengthened their front line with the addition of Piacenza hitman Daniele Cacia earlier in the summer.
The Salentini were in action against amateur side Tamai this afternoon and won 3-0 courtesy of goals from Guillermo Giacomazzi, Cacia and Simone Tiribocchi.
