[Mercato] Storari firms up Fiorentina

Fiorentina have continued their summer recruitment drive by signing goalkeeper Marco Storari on loan from rivals AC Milan until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old, who also enjoyed temporary spells at Spanish Primera Division outfit Levante and Cagliari last term, said: "I know that Fiorentina were looking for an experienced goalkeeper and I am really happy they picked me.

"I am aware that Sebastien Frey is the first choice but I will be ready to play if needed."

Storari is the Viola's seventh summer signing after forwards Alberto Gilardino, Stefan Jovetic and Jefferson Andrade Siqueira, midfielder Felipe Melo and defenders Juan Manuel Vargas and Gianluca Comotto.

Fiorentina, who have just started a training camp in Castelrotto in the Italian Alps, will enter the UEFA Champions League at the third qualifying round stage following their fourth-place finish in Serie A last season.
