Sampdoria have made their first signing of the summer in Lithuanian international Marius Stankevicius.
The 27-year-old defender joins from Serie B side Brescia after seven years with the Rondinelle in two spells at the Stadio Rigamonti.
Having sold rising star Christian Maggio to Napoli and Christian Zenoni to Bologna, the Blucerchiati were in need of defensive reinforcements.
Stankevicius has played as a right-back and in the centre for both club and country and will offer Coach Walter Mazzarri some valuable flexibility at the back.
