[Mercato] Milan rule out Kaka sale

AC Milan vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that he rejected an approach from Chelsea for Ricardo Kaka.

The Brazilian playmaker is believed to be top of Chelsea's transfer wish list.

The London club have reportedly denied making enquiries about a record-breaking bid, but Galliani insists he did receive contact from the Premier League giants regarding Kaka.

However, Galliani claims he is unaware of how much Chelsea were willing to offer because he ended the communication before a fee was discussed.

"I can confirm that Chelsea declared their interest in Kaka," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

"But I told them that Milan were not interested in selling him and I stopped everything before they could make any offer.

"So, I don't know whether they would have offered £80million."

Meanwhile, Galliani has reiterated that Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is Milan's primary summer transfer target.

Galliani also remains interested in Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho, but admits both moves will depend upon the players' valuation.

"At this moment we are on stand-by for both Adebayor and Ronaldinho," added Galliani in Corriere dello Sport.

"It will depend on the financial evaluations of Arsenal and Barcelona. Adebayor is first choice."

Galliani has also repeated that Milan could consider offering Andrei Shevchenko a way out of Chelsea.

"Should there be certain financial conditions, he (Shevchenko) would be welcomed."
