Catania have completed the signing of Argentina international Pablo Ledesma from Boca Juniors.
The 24-year-old had been linked with a number of European clubs after an impressive few months at Boca.
Lazio were among those in the running but Catania have now won the chase after agreeing an undisclosed fee.
Ledesma, who won the Copa Libertadores, four domestic titles and an Intercontinental Cup with Boca, made his Argentina debut against Chile last year.
He will be officially presented as a Catania player on Wednesday, less than a week after the arrival of Nicolae Dica from Steaua Bucharest.
