Napoli have sold half of talented Austrian defender Gyorgy Garics to Atalanta while Alessandro Potenza goes to Genoa.
Garics was Austria's most impressive player at Euro 2008 and also did well for Napoli at right-back and as a right-sided midfielder last season.
The 24-year-old of Hungarian descent only joined from Rapid Vienna in August 2006, but has joined Atalanta in a co-ownership deal.
In other transfer news, Genoa have signed 24-year-old defender Potenza from Fiorentina for around £2m.
The Rossoblu announced he had already undergone a medical and put pen to paper on the contract for a permanent move.
