[2008-09] Parma open with Rimini in B

Serie B's 2008-09 campaign kicks off with the big clashes Empoli-Brescia, Parma-Rimini and the Pisa-Grosseto derby.

The battle for promotion is paramount and there could be some crucial results right from the start of the season.

The Week 1 calendar has created some interesting matches, including recently relegated Empoli and Parma welcoming last year's play-off contenders Brescia and Rimini.


The Tuscan derby takes place in Pisa, while Livorno begin their Serie B experience away to Avellino.

The Second Division kicks off on Saturday 30 August.
