Serie B Play-offs: Second Leg Review

Lecce are through to face Albinoleffe in the Serie B play-off Final after a deserved 3-1 aggregate win over Pisa.

LECCE 2-1 PISA (AGG: 3-1)
Stadio Via del Mare
Lecce were devastated on the final day of the season when they finished agonisingly short of the second automatic promotion spot, but they are now just one win away from returning to Serie A.

Meanwhile Pisa were a surprise package this season and stunned their peers by clinching a play-off berth in their first season since promotion from Serie C.

The hero of the first leg was also the hero of the second leg, as former Chievo hitman Simone Tiribocchi converted a penalty just before half-time to double the advantage he gave the Salentini in Tuscany.

Things got even more difficult for the visitors when Argentine defender Luciano Zavagno was dismissed.

And former Arezzo striker Elvis Abbruscato put the game beyond doubt early in the second period when he made it 2-0.

Pisa's veteran attacker Corrado Colombo pulled one back with 11 minutes remaining, but it was much too little too late.

Lecce will be playing in the Final, while Pisa's heroic campaign ended in disappointment for Giampiero Ventura's minnows.
