[Scudetto Race] Week 32 Reaction

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti believes today’s victory proved that his side have "real heart" as they fight for the Scudetto.

The Giallorossi threw away a 2-0 lead in the space of 60 seconds, but a Daniele De Rossi penalty secured a 3-2 win over Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

"We proved that we have real heart. After the equaliser my lads wiped everything off the slate and began again as if it was a whole new game," Spalletti said.

"The result was fully deserved. We struggled, but Genoa play good football and are in great shape, so that was only to be expected.

"In games like this not everything goes according to plan."

The win closes the gap on Serie A leaders Inter to just one point and it will remain that way if the Nerazzurri lose away to Atalanta tomorrow afternoon.

"We are just going forward along our route and are not interested in what Inter do," concluded Spalletti.
