AC Milan's 18-year-old forward Alexandre Pato could make his debut against Napoli next weekend after the club finally completed his registration.
The Brazilian signed from Internacional de Porto Alegre in August but was ineligible to play in official matches in Italy until January.
The confirmation from the Lega Calcio last night means that Pato is eligible to play for the Rossoneri in official competition including the UEFA Champions League.
Pato had put pen to paper during the summer for a reported five-year contract, but was not legally allowed to play for the European champions because he only turned 18 after the August 31 transfer deadline.
He has been training with his new teammates since September.
