[Mercato] Cigarini agent snubs Viola

Luca Cigarini’s agent claims that the Parma midfield starlet is set for Juventus or Inter, rather than Fiorentina.

The Azzurrini youngster has caught the eye of several of the peninsula’s top clubs, but Fiorentina had been the side expected to commit to the 21-year-old.

However, Cigarini’s agent Giovanni Bia insists that Serie A’s big guns have tabled offers for his client and will outmuscle the Viola.


"Luca has received many offers, including Inter and Juventus," he maintained.

"With all due respect to Fiorentina, when clubs like the aforementioned duo come knocking it is hard to say no."

Cigarini has a five-year contract at the Stadio Tardini and is expected to command a large transfer fee of around £7m.

Meanwhile, another of Parma’s young talents Daniele Dessena could be lured to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

"Anything is possible for Daniele," Bia admitted. "In the next few days we will see what happens. Maybe the two sides could talk when Parma play Fiorentina."
