Serie B Week 9: Brescia-Mantova

Tuesday 23 October
Brescia 0-3 Mantova
Mantova ended their crisis in spectacular fashion by demolishing Brescia at the Rigamonti in this rescheduled Week 9 tie. The visitors had just five points from their last six games, but ran riot to end the Rondinelle’s unbeaten record. Although Brescia had the better of the first half, they struggled to make an impact. Instead, Viviano only parried Lucenti’s strike into the path of Caridi for a tap-in. When Lima saw red for dissent, Serse Cosmi’s men fell apart and Lucenti set up Tarana’s counter-attack, while Spinale’s low drive surprised Viviano to seal the scoreline. This result means Pisa are alone on top of the table after 10 rounds.
