Last 16, Second Leg: Lyon 0-2 Roma [AGG: 0-2]
Roma stunned Lyon with two first-half goals to dump the French side out of the Champions League at the Stade Gerland. Roma took the lead halfway through the first half when captain Francesco Totti headed home Max Tonetto's cross. The Rome club stunned the home crowd seconds before half-time when Alessandro Mancini went on a superb solo run and finished into the top right-hand corner. The French champions, for whom Juninho was a constant danger, battled away gamely but they found Alexander Doni in superb fettle. He pulled off a string of fine saves, especially in the second half, to somehow keep the hosts scoreless in the tie. Sidney Govou also missed a fine chance with a back post header as Gerard Houllier's side bowed out and Roma qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
Last 16, Second Leg: Valencia 0-0 Inter [AGG: 2-2, Valencia qualify on away goals]
Valencia resisted a late surge from Italian champions Inter to hold firm and book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on the away goals rule. A 0-0 draw at the Mestalla was enough for the Spanish club to go through thanks to the two goals they scored in Milan a fortnight ago. But UEFA will be looking into a post-match fracas involving the two teams, which spilled over into the tunnel and dressing room. Despite their dominance in Serie A, Inter were unable to impose themselves on the Spaniards and, apart from the final 10 minutes, rarely looked like scoring.
Last 16, Second Leg: Other Results
Chelsea 2-1 FC Porto [3-2] & Liverpool 0-1 Barcelona [2-2, Liverpool qualify on away goals].

Last 16, Second Leg: Milan 1-0 Celtic [AGG: 0-0]
Milan advanced to the quarter-finals for the sixth consecutive season on Wednesday but they needed extra time to secure a 1-0 victory over Celtic at the San Siro. Kaka finished clinically after a brilliant run three minutes into overtime, as the six-times European champions finally breached Celtic's resolute rearguard and silenced the vociferous away support. The visitors had a strong penalty claim early on when Paolo Maldini used an arm to block a shot from Jiri Jarosik. In the last few minutes of normal time Artur Boruc made two excellent saves to deny Maldini and Clarence Seedorf, while Kaka hit the bar with a shot. The Brazilian had been threatening to score all game and his winner was worth the wait. After shaking off the challenge of Neil Lennon, he ran half the length of the pitch before slipping his shot through the legs of Boruc. Milan pushed for a two-goal cushion and Andrea Pirlo almost provided it from distance only for Boruc to save.
Last 16, Second Leg: Other Fixtures
Arsenal 1-1 PSV Eindhoven [1-2], Bayern Munich 2-1 Real Madrid [4-4, Bayern qualify on away goals] & Manchester United 1-0 Lille [2-0].
