Genoa have completed the signing of Portugal goalkeeper Eduardo from Braga for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old impressed at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa with Portugal conceding only one goal in the tournament as they crashed out to Spain in the last 16.
A number of clubs were credited with an interest in the highly-rated shot-stopper, but Genoa have won the race for his signature.
"Genoa CFC announces it has acquired the sporting rights of Eduardo dos Reis Carvalho on a permanent basis from SC Braga," read a statement on Genoa's official website.
Eduardo replaces Italian goalkeeper Marco Amelia, who joined AC Milan last month on a one-year loan deal from Genoa.
Genoa have also announced the signing of Hungary international Gergely Rudolf for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old former Nancy forward, who scored twice against Fiorentina in last season's UEFA Champions League, moves to Italy on the back of a two-season spell with Debrecen in his homeland which yielded two league titles and 24 goals in 52 top-flight appearances.
