Palermo have signed Chilean striker Mauricio Pinilla from Serie B side Grosseto for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract.
The much-travelled 26-year-old, who has scored four times in 21 appearances for his nation, has played in seven different countries including his homeland where he began his career with Universidad de Chile.
He signed for Inter in 2003, but spent the first half of the 2003-04 campaign on loan at Chievo, before joining Celta Vigo. The next five years were spent at six different clubs before he returned to Italy and Grosseto from Apollon Limassol at the start of last season.
He struck 24 goals in 24 Serie B appearances for Grosseto in 2009-10, by far his most productive season to date.
Moving in the opposite direction, Grosseto have have taken Palermo's 19-year-old Primavera striker Marco Giovio on a year-long loan.
Palermo, who also signed Swiss midfielder Pajtim Kasami on Monday, have qualified for the UEFA Europa League play-offs after finishing fifth in Serie A last season.
