Ficcadenti replaces Bisoli at Cesena

Newly promoted side Cesena have brought in Massimo Ficcadenti to replace their coach Pierpaolo Bisoli, who left the club last week and is expected to take over at Cagliari.

Ficcadenti, the 42-year-old former Verona and Torino midfielder, has had brief experience of coaching in Serie A, having been sacked by Reggina ten matches into the 2007-08 season.

Last season Ficcadenti coached Piacenza and secured them Serie B safety.

Bisoli has been linked with Cagliari, the team he represented as a midfielder from 1991 to 1997. He guided Cesena to successive promotions from the Lega Pro into Serie A.
