Napoli have moved above Juventus in the race for European places in Serie A after recovering from conceding an early goal to beat La Vecchia Signora 3-1.
Napoli 3-1 Juventus
Napoli moved up to sixth in the Serie A table with a 3-1 victory over struggling Juventus at the Stadio San Paolo. Giorgio Chiellini had put Juve ahead early on but the home side hit back in the second half as goals from Marek Hamsik, Fabio Quagliarella and Ezequiel Lavezzi saw them to victory. The Azzurri could even afford for Hamsik to miss a penalty to equalise shortly after the break as the visitors crumbled. Alberto Zaccheroni's side have had a nightmare 11 days which have seen them throw away a 3-0 lead to draw with lowly Siena, suffer a 4-1 mauling at Fulham as they were dumped out of the Europa League and lose to Sampdoria. And this result will have done little to lift the gloom over the Bianconeri as they drop to seventh in the table, three points adrift of the fourth and final Champions League place currently held by Palermo and outside the Europa League places.
