It was a night of draws in Serie A as Genoa and Bari shared the spoils in their rearranged Week 17 clash, while Bologna and Atalanta could not be separated either.
Genoa 1-1 Bari
Genoa and high-flying Bari shared a 1-1 draw in their rearranged encounter with one goal in each half of an even game, which was was scheduled to be played last month but was postponed because of bad weather. Paulo Barreto put Bari ahead after five minutes with a touch of fortune after an attempted clearance deflected off the Brazilian's arm and into the net. But the luck was on Genoa's side early in the second half, when Omar Milanetto grabbed an equaliser from a deflected free-kick. The home side did more to try to win the game, but their play lacked a cutting edge and they had to settle for a point, which leaves them one point behind their opponents in mid-table.
Bologna 2-2 Atalanta
Atalanta battled back to claim a share of the spoils and remain within three points of hosts Bologna - although both stayed in Serie A's bottom four after an entertaining encounter at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Marco Di Vaio's brace after 34 minutes looked to have put the home team in control but Thomas Manfredini reduced the deficit shortly after, before substitute Ernesto Chevanton struck in the second half to get the Bergamaschi back on level terms. The outcome left Atalanta in 18th position in the standings, three points behind Bologna, who hold the last safety position.
