Mourinho charged over derby outburst

Inter coach Jose Mourinho faces a disciplinary hearing for comments he made after the 2-0 derby victory over AC Milan.

Jose MourinhoThe Nerazzurri beat their city rivals to go nine points clear at the top of Serie A despite having two men sent off.

Wesley Sneijder and Lucio were the players red carded and Mourinho stated after the final whistle that 'everything was done for us not to win this match'.

The Portuguese tactician added: "I've realised they won't let us wrap up the Scudetto early."

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has now charged Mourinho for his outburst, saying that his remarks had been damaging to the 'credibility of federal institutions and cast doubt on the regularity of the championship'.

The club and managing director Ernesto Paolillo have also been charged.

Paolillo questioned the league's neutrality after AC Milan had their request to reschedule a midweek Coppa Italia fixture to have the week before the derby free, like their city rivals.

It has also been confirmed that Sneijder will serve a two-match ban after verbally abusing the referee.

The Dutchman will miss Sunday's trip to Parma and the home clash against Cagliari before returning to action when Inter face Napoli on February 14.

Inter will also be without defender Lucio for this weekend's encounter in Parma with the Brazilian serving a one-match suspension.
