Reggina 0-2 Vicenza
Reggina suffered another blow in the race for promotion after a shock 2-0 home defeat to Vicenza in a match rescheduled from Week 3 due to players called up for international duty. Alessandro Sgrigna netted his fourth goal in as many games for the Biancorossi with his daisy-cutter just before the half-time break, then the Amaranto left themselves open to the counter by Sasa Bjelanovic. Coach Walter Novellino is now under severe pressure in Reggio di Calabria, as his side were expected to be a certainty for a rapid return to Serie A this season.
Sassuolo 2-1 Triestina
Sassuolo put themselves in the leading positions by making short work of Triestina in this rescheduled Week 3 encounter. Michael Agazzi did what he could with a series of early saves, but at the start of the second half he capitulated to Luigi Riccio and soon after a Massimiliano Fusani tap-in. Mauro Minelli saw red for the home side and Luca Siligardi got Triestina back into it, but it was too little, too late.
Padova 0-0 Piacenza
Padova and Piacenza shared the spoils in a rescheduled match from Week 3. The visitors can certainly be happier with the point, as they played the final 20 minutes with 10 men following Alessandro Tulli's red card. The newly-promoted hosts remain unbeaten in Serie B this season.
