English Premier League outfit West Ham United have completed the signing of Alessandro Diamanti from Livorno for an undisclosed fee.
Diamanti has inked a five-year deal at the London-based club after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
West Ham's Italian coach Gianfranco Zola has been chasing striker Diamanti for some time and he has finally landed his man.
Diamanti, who starred in the Amaranto's promotion to Serie A last term, is delighted with the opportunity to join West Ham and play under Zola.
"I am very happy to be at West Ham United and to get the chance to play for Gianfranco Zola," Diamanti told the club's official website.
"This is a big club and I want to give everything for the supporters."
Livorno, meanwhile, have been busy spending the money from the Diamanti sale with the signings of Mozart from Brazilian side Palmeiras and Nelson Rivas from Inter.
