Dutch club FC Twente have confirmed a deal has been agreed for striker Marko Arnautovic to join Inter on loan.
Arnautovic had been expected to link up with Inter earlier in the summer after the Italian champions agreed a deal with Twente.
However, an injury which will sideline the Austrian for several months prevented a five-year contract from being finalised.
The two clubs have now settled on a compromise which will see Arnautovic move to the San Siro initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
If Arnautovic plays a specified number of matches upon his return to fitness then he will sign a five-year contract and Twente will receive a fee of 10million euros.
But if the 20-year-old does not feature in enough games under Nerazzurri coach Jose Mourinho then he will return to play in the Netherlands.
