[Mercato] Eto'o set to seal Inter deal

Samuel Eto'o's agent has announced that the Barcelona striker has agreed personal terms with Inter.

Samuel Eto'o & Zlatan IbrahimovicNegotiations have been ongoing for some time as the two clubs work towards a swap deal that would take Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Spanish giants for a reported fee of 40million euros.

There had initially been fears that Eto'o's wage demands would scupper such a switch but matters have now been resolved following another meeting with Nerazzurri officials.

The Cameroonian's representative Josep Mesalles insists an agreement is in place and he will now return to Barcelona to settle everything there.

"It's done," said Mesalles. "We have reached an agreement with Inter.

"Samuel talked to (coach Jose) Mourinho yesterday and is very happy to be wearing the Nerazzurri shirt.

"All the details have been filed."

Reports suggest that Eto'o will join on a five-year contract, although a transfer is unlikely to be finalised until next week.

Inter's Swedish striker Ibrahimovic has left Inter's pre-season training camp in America ahead of his proposed move to Spain while Alexander Hleb is also expected to move to the Serie A champions as part of the exchange.
