Bari look set for a change of owners after club President Vincenzo Matarrese admitted talks are taking place.
The newly-promoted club had regained top-flight status by topping the Serie B table last season.
"It's true we are selling the club," revealed the patrons' son Salvatore Matarrese. "We are willing to pass it on to someone else.
"We are currently negotiating with an investor, who seems serious and reliable.
"Several times we announced that we want to sell and now that there is an offer we are happy to do it.
"In the next few days there will be more meetings. We want to sell the whole thing but we don't know whether they are interested in a partnership deal."
The Galletti supporters will probably digest the news positively as in the past years they have only been waiting to get rid of the Matarrese family.
However, at this stage, with the club approaching the new Serie A season, things are getting complicated for newly appointed Giampiero Ventura.
He replaced Antonio Conte, who decided to leave the club after falling out with the hierarchy on the subject of future transfer plans.
