Newly-promoted Serie A side Bari have announced that Gian Piero Ventura is set to become their new coach.
Ventura, who was sacked by Serie B outfit Pisa in April, will move to Bari on 1st July when his contract with the now relegated Tuscan side expires.
The 61-year-old will sign a 12-month deal at the Stadio San Nicola with the option to extend the agreement by an additional year.
Bari, who gained promotion to Italy's top flight last term after winning the Serie B title, have been searching for a new boss since Antonio Conte decided to part company last week.
Despite guiding the Galletti back to the big time and signing a new contract extension, the former Juventus captain suffered a bust-up with the club's hierarchy over transfer targets for the new season and surprisingly quit.
