[UCL] Draw kicks off the race to Madrid

The first two rounds of the UEFA Champions League qualifying stage have been drawn at UEFA headquarters in Nyon today.

UEFA Champions League 2010The first qualifying round - which kicks off next week - comprises of just four clubs from UEFA's four lowest ranked countries, who will be bidding to grab the last two places in the second qualifying round.

Thirty-two more clubs enter the draw in the second round, including the likes of BATE Borisov, Copenhagen, Dinamo Zagreb and Partizan Belgrade.


The draw for the third qualifying round takes place on 17 July. Fiorentina, who finished fourth in Serie A last term and need to qualify, will enter the competition in the fourth stage of qualifying - the Play-off Round in mid-August.

The final will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid on Saturday 22 May 2010.
