Albano Bizzarri has revealed he has signed for Lazio from fellow Serie A side Catania after an impressive season.
The 31-year-old kept eight clean sheets for Catania last term but has not played since announcing he would not be signing a new contract in April.
The Argentine has enjoyed an eventful career and even spent a season at Real Madrid ten years ago during an eight-year stay in Spain.
Bizzarri was understandably delighted about joining last seasons Coppa Italia winners but didn't know when he would officially be unveiled as a Biancocelesti player.
"I am very happy with this new adventure," he told Viva la Radio. "I am going to play with Lazio, everything is signed.
"This last season was very important to me."
Meanwhile, midfielder Pasquale Foggia has extended his stay at Lazio until 2013 and immediately vowed to improve on last season's 10th place finish.
"I have extended my contract with Lazio until 2013," he told Sky Italia. "From a personal point of view I expect a great season because it's a World Cup year.
"With regards to Lazio we have to improve on last season's placing. We can do better"
